Instagram has become a valuable marketing tool, particularly for customers aged 18-35 who are visually motivated.
Dine Niagara will post approximately once per month about your restaurant as part of your subscription plan (unless you have instructed us not to) to help create visibility and content about your restaurant.
We highly recommend following a regular posting strategy of your own content through an Instagram Profile dedicated to your business. If you are not comfortable managing a social media presence for your restaurant, feel free to reach out as our marketing team can offer monthly solutions to provide regular posting for your business.
Best Practices - Posting
Tag Dine Niagara (@dineniagaralocal)
Want to show your affiliation with Dine Niagara and your preference for where you would like your customers to order in your posts? Tag us and tell your customers where to shop!
Invite Us To Collaborate
Instagram allows for paid / business collaboration where the post can originate from multiple accounts. When we post about your restaurant we will add you as a collaborator on each post. If you would like to also share our post to your own Instagram account you can approve that collaboration from the message your receive on our post.
Feel free to invite Dine Niagara to collaborate on your posts as well. We can't share everything you put out depending on regularity, but we are happy to share your messaging through our channels on a periodic basis.
Use Our Logo
Feel free to use our logo when promoting your restaurant. We will gladly provide you with a custom QR code which leads to your order page as well as a high resolution version of our logo to use in your images.
Foodie Photography
Make sure to make your food the focus! Customers love to see the food you make and it is a great influence to getting them to order. Wherever possible use professional (or high quality) photos of your actual food and avoid using stock photographs or AI generated images. While stock and AI images can be a quick way to post something, if it doesn't reflect the actual look or quality of your food it can have a negative impact on your customer.
Link Your Menu
Instagram doesn't make it quite as easy as Facebook to add links outside their platform, but you do get ONE link in your profile, so use it wisely!
If you don't have another website or presence online that it makes sense to link to, you can add your Dine Niagara order link directly into the link so your customers can quickly jump to your order page from your Instagram profile.
If you do have other places where your customers might want to find you (website, other social networks, etc), you should consider using LinkTree to create a single link to all of your possible destinations.
